As 2025 begins, I embrace grounded energy, guided by ancient wisdom, meditation, and intuitive divination. The year brings, for me, movement forward through a steady, inspired, and creative path. Here, I reflect on how these insights converge for growth, resilience, and quiet triumph.
The Tortoise: Slow and Steady
The tortoise reminds me that patience is not a weakness but a strength. Its steady pace and unshakable focus teach me to value persistence over haste. As I prepare for a charity run in September, the tortoise indicates that every small step matters. The journey is as important as the destination, and progress will be made in consistent, deliberate strides, keeping the end in sight.
The Emu: Forward Momentum
The emu, an Australian flightless bird of swift, purposeful movement, contrasts beautifully with the tortoise. The emu’s energy, as it zig-zags across the dusty earth, is a reminder ofconfidence in moving forward, to go far, even when the path is uncertain. It’s a call to trust my instincts and take courageous steps toward my aspirations.
The Rabbit: Creative Ideas
The rabbit, a symbol of creativity, encourages me to nurture my ideas and imaginations, and to move forward with my writing projects. It also serves as a reminder to face challenges, transforming them into opportunities for growth.
The Eagle: Perspective and Vision
The eagle, soaring high above on the rising air currents, offers perspective and vision. It invites me to rise above the mundane and see the bigger picture. The eagle’s wisdom empowers me to stay focused on my goals, with an eagle-eye, to guide my path with fewer distractions.
Centering in Truth
In my quietude, I sought guidance and heard the words “centering in truth" which guides me to deepen this year’s theme of movement forward with authenticity and alignment. It calls me to trust my intuition and to connect deeply with others. This wisdom encourages me to listen. Listen to myself, to the rhythms of the world, and to the voices of those around me.
In meditative thought, I was shown a narrow, winding path through gently rolling green hills. The layered perspectives of new beginnings urges me to approach life with curiosity and an open heart. Although I was shown the long route, it speaks of endurance and an understanding that meaningful journeys require time. It reinforces the importance of patience and perseverance.
A Gentle Path Forward
As I step into 2025, I reflect on the connection between patience and perseverance – qualities that shape meaningful journeys inspired by the timeless wisdom of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. Frodo’s quest is a classic example of a long, arduous journey that is deeply personal, reminding me that the steady, often winding path is one of strength and resilience. Much like the Olympic rings of Paris 2024, which symbolize unity, perseverance, and striving for excellence, my journey this year will be rooted in movement – gentle yet bold, deliberate yet inspired. Both Tolkien and the Olympics draw parallels between the Fellowship of the Ring and collaborative team spirit in which the journey is individual but teams are vital to overcome challenges. The value lies not just in reaching the endpoint but in how the journey shapes character. As I weave these insights together to provide a plan for 2025, the path forward will be a year of grounded, yet purposeful, growth, navigating challenges with grace to find joy in the journey.
This year, I will not just be gaining ground. Whether through the patient steps of a tortoise, the swift strides of an emu, or the soaring perspective of an eagle, I embrace this year as an unfolding adventure, where every small step forward contributes to a greater story of growth, resilience, and quiet triumph.
Making my peace with gaining ground in 2025, I will do the following:
Acknowledge the successes of 2024 and learn from the challenges
Focus on movement – gentle and steady, but bold and purposeful
Include different forms of movement in my life – from running to walking; dancing to swaying, and calming exercise routines
Travel somewhere, new or unknown, near or far
Enhance my creativity and artistic expression through writing and painting
Experience more walking meditations through rolling hills no matter how long the route
